China Forestry Group New Zealand owns a total of 24 forests across New Zealand, amounting to 22,000 hectares of plantation on around 29,000 hectares of land. Our wood products supply both the domestic and international market.
The New Zealand team is a subsidiary of China National Forest Products Corporation, itself a subsidiary of our ultimate parent company China Forestry Group Corporation. China Forestry Group is the biggest forestry company in China, established directly under the State Forestry Administration in 1996 to engage in:
- Cultivating fast-growing and high-yield plantations in China
- Managing forest resources in other countries
- Producing, processing, importing and exporting wood and forest products and seedlings
Our parent company, China Forestry Group Corporation, has a strong presence globally, with business operations in the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Myanmar, India, Singapore, Russia, France, Uruguay, Brazil, South Africa and Mozambique.
